Thank you for taking the time to attend my update meeting. Again, we will continue to meet up until the start of the SAM. Some points to note from this meeting:

  *
To connect ATLis to an ePAS permit (from the permit), it cannot be in "Planning Complete" and above. However, if it is, the author can bring it back to the "Planning" stage to make the connection.
  *
The Pre-SAM safety briefing will occur on 2-Sept. More info to come.
  *
The massive LOTO of 3-Sept will look a little different this year.
     *
Groups who will need to work in and around magnet leads in the tunnel, should plan on witnessing the DCP LOTO (voltage verification) on 3-Sept. The same could apply to the RF CPS equivalent if working in and around those supplies.
        *
I think submitting a plan on how this is going to go will be beneficial to all participating.
     *
We will have observers from multiple departments at the LOTO activity. They include (but not limited to)
        *
Quality Assurance
        *
EHS
        *
DOE site office
     *
This looks like "ProActive" event from the last SAM. For our groups that will be executing LOTOs on that day, please keep this in the back of your mind as you are planning. Lastly, please speak up with questions and concerns about this so they can be addressed.
     *
RadCon will be spending most of 3-Sept performing surveys. Service buildings may not be deposted until 4-Sept.
     *
There was an updated made concerning pre-job briefs (PJB). The Management Safety Discussion (MSD) tool now contains a link to the PJB checklist:

When filling out this form, it seems one only needs to satisfy the areas that are starred. Thanks to the representatives from EHS for being present to address our questions and concerns.

 With the SAM set to begin and month from now (03-Sept.), we should be starting to finalize our plans concerning what tasks are to be conducted before the start of the new year when we will be gearing up restart the machine for an new Physics run. These last meetings will be used as a forum for any questions one may have about the SAM and/or specific tasks one is involved in. I also want to speak a little more about ATLis.
