All vehicles parked in the north half of the main CEBAF Center parking
lot must be moved by 7 p.m. this evening. If your vehicle will be here
after 7 p.m., please move it to the south half of the CEBAF Center
parking lot or move it to the lot behind the EEL, Building 90.
A chiller unit will be placed in the north side of the parking lot (end
closest to the VARC) some time tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 13). The chiller
unit and the two generators will remain in the lot until Aug. 21. While
the chiller is being delivered and put in place, a significant portion
of the north end of the parking lot will be temporarily off limits. Once
the chiller is in place, the "no parking" area will shrink considerably.
On days when all available parking spots in the CEBAF Center lot are
occupied, please park in the expanded parking lot behind the EEL, or in
the lot running between CEBAF Center and the VARC, Building 28.
This is a short-term situation to provide electricity to CEBAF Center
and cooling for the Computer Center, during a planned power outage that
will allow for the relocation of underground electrical utilities in
advance of construction for the Technology and Engineering Development
Facility.
Please heed all construction cones, tapes, barricades and signage. Don't
park in unmarked areas or along roads.
The "Flag Alley" section of SURA Road is currently closed and will
remain closed until Aug. 21; this is the stretch between the CEBAF
Center Circle and BCS Road.
/This message is being sent on behalf of Facilities Management and
Logistics.
