Construction activities and the Wednesday, Sept. 1, Technology and
Engineering Development Facility Groundbreaking will impact both traffic
flow and pedestrian movement around Jefferson Lab during the week of
Aug. 30.

-- The Flag Alley section of SURA Road (from CEBAF Center Circle to BCS
Road) will be closed from Monday morning through Thursday, Aug. 30 --
Sept. 2, to accommodate subcontractor work and for set up and tear down
for a tent that will be used for the Sept. 1 TEDF Groundbreaking event.

Additional information regarding temporary road closures and vehicle
movement during the groundbreaking event will be sent out on Tuesday,
Aug. 31.

Extending beyond the week of Aug. 30:

-- Construction of the new Accelerator Site entrance and pedestrian
sidewalk has closed Hadron Drive access to Radiation Control (RadCon),
Buildings 52, 52B and 52C, for the next month. The construction work is
also limiting the amount of parking on the east side of the Test Lab,
Building 58, and around Building 59. All pedestrians and vehicles must
use the marked detour to RadCon. Take the dirt road -- the immediate
right just beyond (east of) the intersection of Hadron Drive and BCS
Road and follow the detour back to RadCon.

For more information about utilities, road and sidewalk impact due to

-- The new enclosed location for JLab refuse dumpsters, recycling,
government vehicle fueling, hazardous waste & used oil and materials
storage has opened at the end of BCS Road. It is open on Tuesdays and
Fridays from 9-10 a.m. The new Central Materials Storage Area is for the
centralized collection of refuse, recycling, bulk materials, hazardous
waste and used oil storage and related activities.
