Hi Megan
Here is my update - I did not disturb anything you had , however if you go to the right on the RED Traveler Tab , you will see where I have put in the WBS, Title and dates for the first article needing inspection
I have added a tab with Lisa's P6 report for Inspections
My idea is that we would be able to reference to the P6 dates if there is a field that matches up to the travelers . At the moment we don't have any P6 fields in our travelers so the master list at the moment seems the place to put this information . It looks like there are two fields in the P6 that could be used for mapping - provided PMO never ever changes them (need to confirm this) - I believe WBS number is permanent , however not sure about activity number . The WBS is normally created very early on in the project (reason being it generates the charge codes people will use) . Note that there are two WBS Numbers lines for each subject line , one in JLAB Cost Point and one in P6 (they map to each other, PMO can give the mapping)
Some of the issues :
1. I will want to have Katherine check that I did not make any errors or miss anything
2. I have only put in the WBS number for the first article - in order words the date when the stuff arrives (I did not want to do anything to your report by adding lines for item 2,3 etc. however for our scheduling we will need to do this somewhere to plan for everything to follow the first article )
3. Katherine was to add an additional date for when the stuff is actually needed so we can keep priorities in order for inspection (she has not done this yet)
4. About half the items on the "inspect" list appear to be either tooling or items that get checked in an assembly process - so because of this I could not map to the traveler - these are highlighted in YELLOW - another area that Katherine needs to confirm for me
Regardless of what happens myself and others will need to continue to reference the P6 for due dates - so if you could keep this information (OK to hide if you like) it may prove to be very helpful . If this works for CMM Inspection then we might want to extend it to other activities/WBS
This would give a "bullet proof" way to say that the travelers are late per P6 (we might want to buffer by 2 or 4 weeks before the deadline to allow for processing of the travelers)
I will send this to Katherine and Lisa and ask them to check that I did not make any errors
Anne

Anne,
Here is the masterlist as of now. There may be a few minor changes before this afternoon. When you add thigs or make changes, can you make it in a different color so I can tell what was added?
Thanks!
Megan
