[Pansophy] Girder Assy Procedure and Traveler Drafts

Hi Tiffany,
Both are looking good so far, although I did notice a few things in the traveler that stuck out to me. One of the big ones is the smart tags. These are usually created when Word decides to make things look nice, like quotes and apostrophes angling certain directions, or fractions get condensed from 3/4 to ¾. Pansophy doesn't like these and will display an unknown symbol in their place. This symbol is also created when there's em-dashes,-, and double spaces, both of which I noticed in the traveler. To turn them off, follow the instructions on page 61 of the Beginning Traveler Authorship PDF, which I've attached. I'd also suggest unmarking the same checkboxes in the "AutoFormat as you Type" tab. You'll have to then fix them manually, but I can suggest ctrl+f to find the quotations and apostrophes, and the em-dash is in the traveler ID and at the end of the IDs in the references cells. The double spaces can be removed by using the replace button on the far right side of the home tab, and telling it to replace every double space with a single one.
The last couple of things I noticed are on the first page. Two of the usernames in the NCRs and D3s are incorrect; Palczewski should be Ari and Valente-Feliciano should just be Valente. An easy way of checking is to use the staff search<https://misportal.jlab.org/staff_search> and copying their email address before the @ symbol. There also shouldn't be any spaces between each of the names in the NCRs and D3s, just the comma. Lastly, don't forget to add a date in the traveler date cell.
Other than that, the traveler is looking good to me. Once those changes are made and it's time for approvals, drop it in the ready for approvals folder and I'll route it. Hope you have a good rest of your day.
Allen

I have not received any feedback from Ari or Danny on the draft assembly and leak check procedure and traveler yet; however, if you see anything that needs to be changed for pansophy let me know.

Ari and Danny,
Attached are current drafts of the CEBAF Girder Clean Assembly and Leak Check procedure and traveler. Photos and additional details can be included once we begin refurbishing and assembling the girders. Links and references to additional procedures (such as the viewer assembly and ion pump) will be added once they have been issued.
Please review the attached documents and provide comments.
Thank you,
Tiffany Ganey
