Anne,

I've updated the Pansophy Roadmap but I am still unsure about some of the project dates. Hopefully, you have a better idea of the dates. I did my best taking from Tony's and Ed's talks, but I'm still unsure... hard to tell from their graphics.

Good night.

Anne,

Yes. The "Training" on the roadmap for next year is a place holder for when/if a new Training Tool is needed. I realize this could be Moodle, HR's version, or something completely different. My proposal of using the current traveler system would give us an opportunity to collect data and figure out what our requirements would/could be. By using the database we will be able to export any data if needed or it could be transferred to a new system.

The creation of "the training traveler" would be up to you, Jacob and Fischer. Jacob told me about Fischer's idea of multiple Travelers being selected in a single "training traveler", like the NCRs. But that would complicate the reporting/status board and means more programming effort. I suggested a simple "training traveler" with one selection for now. I realize that this means a little more upfront work for Fischer and other supervisors, but perhaps we could come up with a quick way to load a spreadsheet into the "training traveler"?

With the traveler system we can already ensure who is signing (supervisor or trainee) and date stamp then entry. Could use the "holdpoint" function for the supervisor's sign off and closing of the traveler. This will secure the data in the database (the record/cert).

The reporting "status boards" is already built into the system as utilized by L2PRD CM status board. That only needs to know what travelers and/or data fields needed and the vertical axis would be the trainees. Anything other than that would need some programming, but most likely minimal.

And yes this can be done easily by the methods already in place for travelers and user-defined/status board reports. So, I think a couple weeks is all that is needed.

I hope I answered all your questions. Please let me know if you need more...

Valerie

Hi Valerie

Jacob said he talked with you and said your plan for next year's work in Training is the larger system after we figure out what we want/need the larger system to do.

He said that you felt adding the simple SRF-TRAIN traveler with some basic 'user-defined' reporting capability can be done within a couple of weeks.

To be a Cert it will need the E Sign at min of the Supervisor with date for the trainees name . It sounds like we will need a report for SRFOPS overall, one for the Group leader and one that could be given to the individual with the list of travelers & procedures

I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page and that we are not over promising

Could you confirm ?

I think at some point soon we are going to need a visual to be able to explain to Tony and others what the output might look like

Thanks Anne

Hi Valerie

I was wondering if you had been able to update your road map ?

Reason I ask is Jacob was under the impression that the "pilot" for Calibration was done - I told him that you were planning this for next year (I recalled 2nd Quarter?) . I think he is confusing the old Calibration Pansophy system with the one you are working on with Larry

Could you let us know when you are ready to show it to Jacob ? He is putting together a slide set for Tony to use to update Andrei and I did not want anyone to be under the wrong impression

Thanks Anne
