All,
I trust the teams judgement. Thank you for taking care of this.

Hi all,
It sounds like we can combine all travelers into current one (C75-INSP-HOML). I like your suggestion Valerie. I was thinking the following for C75-INSP-HOML .....
-Page 1 is for old loads from existing cryomodules
-Page 2 for new loads initial inspection from vendor
-Page 3 for new loads final inspection after brazing
Would everyone be okay with merging new travelers into current one? If so, I'll make the changes. I like Valerie's idea of a button to select "new" or "old" Hom load.
Scott,
I'm okay with a REV change to drawing. I can serialize the new loads I already have starting with SN 1000 and the vendor can pick up where I stop.
Thank you,
Aaron

To All,
Currently neither drawing for the Absorber Flange or the HOM Absorber calls out for parts to be serialized. We should plan on serializing the flanges in-house and the actual HOM Load can't be serialized, however we should assign an HOM Load ID Number to each using a drop down window to pick from for inspection purposes. Aaron, if you prefer, we could always Rev the flange drawing and request vendor to serialize the HOM Flanges. Please let me know if you prefer this route and I'll see that we get the drawing changed upon request.

Aaron (et al),
My suggestion is that the new INSP traveler be loaded as R2 over the current INSP-HOML traveler (if the numbers being measure are correct for both).
The Acronym for HOM Load Assembly is HOML (can be found in Pansophy -> Travelers -> Authorized Users -> TP Acronyms). The HOMLSNs will start at 1000 for the newly built HOMLs and be denoted in the traveler with a radio button (OLD/NEW).
The HOM Absorber flange should be referred to as HOMAF (HOMA = HOM Absorber).
Will these have their own serial numbers? Inscribed in-house?
I hope this works for all. Please let us know if you need additional changes (Megan has not yet made her changes to the travelers, I have only added/changed what I recommended above).
Valerie

All,
I like Aaron's suggestion to start at 1000. This way a four digit serial number will automatically designate the new design. Any concerns?

Kurt,
My thoughts are that if we start with a number higher than the previous serialization series, that will eliminate the concern and identify the beginning of a new designed HOM Load. With that being said and not knowing the highest last SN for the old style loads, 300 may or may not be a good start point.

Scott,
Thanks for your input. As long as we never need a serial number over 300 with the old HOM loads.

Aaron,
Why don't we start off all future fabricated C75 HOM Loads loads with a 300 series serialization. This should prevent duplications, We've be done this in the past with other components as a measure to prevent serialization duplications. What are your thoughts?

Subject: C75 Hom load serial numbers
Hi all,
I'm a bit concerned on how to prevent duplicate serial numbers between the new Hom Load traveler capturing newly built parts and the older traveler (C75-CPR-INSP-HOML) which is still used today to reinspect Hom loads as they come from tunnel after cryomodule disassemblies. As most of you know we reassign a new number to older loads to get rid of the random letters that existed during C20 and C50. I believe we are at HOML 0278 or near there. My question is should we combine travelers and just make the travelers I just wrote the latest Rev change to the older traveler? Then have a checkbox to select "newly built" load or "existing load" from tunnel. Or if we keep travelers separate could they go in numerical order together for serial number if that makes sense? i.e. 279 available for both travelers until it's used? Sorry for the long email. Hope I haven't confused everyone haha.
Thank you,
Aaron
