Val,
I made a few changes to the spreadsheet (PROJ & SYS only) as examples. I think one of my concerns is that some acronyms appear in 2 or 3 columns (CAV is an example). This happens when we do thing like PROJ-CAV-INSP-CAV. We have dropping the SYSTEM for the INV travelers, and talked about it for INSP.
Also, I think an OBS review would be a good idea at this point to identify closed projects, etc., and cascade OBS through to the other tables. I took a look at the tables and found the following information.
Area
Record Count
OBS
Project
33
7
System
161
13
Level1
371
6
Level2
724
3
Level3
57
0
This would be helpful in determining a set of current acronyms and verify the removal of obsolete (project specific) acronyms from the list.
Your thoughts,

Please review this file "Gathering" tab.
What needs to be added? What doesn't need to be added to the TRAV_ACRONYM table?
And How do we automatically update the Acronym table?
This will be important as we move forward with TRAMs/PRAMs.
Should we just use the other tables (they are written to every time a traveler is converter automatically by the scripts)?
We initially didn't because we wanted to retire some acronyms.
Thanks.
Valerie
