The Pansophy system was utilized by the magnet team, and recently the new CEBAF Cold Box. It can track any type of assembly/ equipment.
But, I understand. Good Luck.

Hi Valerie,
Thanks so much for the info and taking the time to answer my query. This is very helpful. It seems that this is very specific to cryomodule production which makes sense for your operation. However, I have a wide variety of equipment that needs to be covered so I will need something that is more generic.
Thanks again,
Joe

Hello Joe,
I am Valerie Bookwalter. I am apart the Pansophy Project/Team.
I am attaching an old overview slide set for your perusal.
Pansophy is a JLab built software system, utilizing Adobe ColdFusion and an Oracle database.
We started this system back in early 2000 for JLab work and the SNS Project.
Since then we have and continue to utilize this system for every internal/external SRF project (LCLS-II, 12GeV, ILC, USLARP, LCLS-II HE, SNS PPU).
Based on the paper traveler this system follows every inspection, chemistry, rework, assembly, testing, and shipping data.
It also provides a series of reports for Project managers, Floor managers, and Quality persons.
Automation for Non-Conformance reports, project status, emails, etc. are built in.
If you have questions or would like to have a short video change, please let me know.
Valerie

Thanks so much Steve.
Valerie or Jacob,
Can you briefly describe for me the Pansophy System?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe, glad to hear things are OK with you and BNL. Strange times. Hopefully the surfing will be less crowded though!
Our cavity production group uses a home grown traveler system called Pansophy. I've cc'ed Valerie Bookwalter and Jacob Harris on this email, they could probably help more than me in this arena.
Steve

Hi Steve,
I hope this finds you and your family well. All is fine on my end. BNL is in minimum safe mode with a few beamlines working on COVID. 90% of us are working remotely.
Curious to know if you or anyone else at J-Lab is using a Traveler program. We use travelers for assembly, installation, and inspection/test of new equipment. These are basically procedure style paper documents with provisions to sign off on each step or operation. My custom 15 year old system has reached its end of life so I am looking for a replacement which includes commercial systems and systems at other labs.
Is this something you have? If so can you put me in touch with the cognizant person?
Thanks,
Joe Zipper
