This is correct. I thought I sent to Megan (sorry on her email).

Hi Pashupati,

No problem. I see two minor issues. Page 4 needs a drawing value for perpendicularity (2 boxes). For page 6 I think the "DIM" and "DIMTOL" should be deleted since it's a thread check with gauge and not cmm. Perhaps please add a comment "Threads okay" inside box for last page? Everything else looks good!

Thanks,
Aaron

Dear All
Thank you Kurt and Aaron taking care. Please take a look if this seems good, please let Megan know, so that she can send out for approval and put on pansophy. If we missed anything after the first cavity measurements, we can revise later.

Please disregard question.... I just saw reference only has already been added into traveler.

Hi all,

I made some slight changes to traveler. I added a comment box for cmm step and added file upload boxes for visual plus cmm steps. Are we okay with NCRs for all dimensions or should we identify with "reference only" in blocks for dimensions we don't want to flag in pansophy?

Kurt,

I'm okay with multiple dimensions in the same table block.

Thanks,
Aaron

Hi Kurt

Thank you very much! Now may be Aaron can help to finish it?

We may be getting cavity next week.

Regards

Pashupati

Pashupati,

I took a stab at taking this traveler to the next level. This still needs some work. I didn't add what the tolerances are in my writing. Also in some cases I have several dimensions in one table block. We might want to change this, input from Aaron for how he wants it would be appropriate.

Kurt

Hi Kirk

Please find attached traveler. Please help me to identify some missing dimension there.

Pashupati,

I looked over the traveler and didn't realize you didn't have any of the dimensional inspection written.

I think the serial number of the cavity needs to be your first data entry of the traveler. This will be required to initiate the traveler ID. Valerie can confirm.

As far as dimensional inspection. I don't have the drawing, we can ask if Jim has it and if not we need to get it from ORNL.

Things that are important and need to be measured and have tolerances. These measurements and tolerances will come right off the drawing.

Length, End dish to end dish. This is from the base of the machined step that will touch the HV head. Also should have parallelism to each other and beam center?

Tuner interface features, Tuner mount hole locations in X and Y. I think of Z as the beam axis. There is also a a rounded C-Bore on the tuner mounting plate. X,Y and Z. This might be better to not measure and make a go no go fixture? Maybe mount part of a tuner?

Lollipop support holes in end of beam-line flanges: The flanges need to be clocked properly to the FPC flange face. If the FPC flange face is straight down the lollipop tooling holes need to also be clocked straight down. The drawing should have a tight tolerance.

Alignment holes on Beam line flanges: These should be 90 degrees from lollipop holes. Again the drawing should have a tolerance.

I think those are the important features. Other than maybe overall length. Since the cavity is coming assembled we won't be able to measure some things.

The vendor is supposed to provide an inspection report. If we review this and perhaps spot check a few key things to confirm we probably don't need to do a thorough CMM inspection? We probably should get the right people together to talk about scope.

I found the inspection travelers from the original SNS that can be used to help.

Cavity incoming inspection:

Cavity CMM Inspection:

I'm not meaning to leave you hanging. I think starting with a meeting with Ed, Kathrine, Me and you would be the place to start. I worry about bogging down the CMM.

Kurt

Please find attach draft. Please review ASAP

I am not sure what needed to be measure for CMM, please add.
