[Pansophy] Your Incident INC0029636 has comments added - Remote On-Boarding Allen Samuels (September 16th)

Good Morning Jessica,

Allen Samuels will be working with Megan McDonald learning to take over some of her workload with the Pansophy System.
She is probably the best user (megan at jlab.org<mailto:megan at jlab.org>) to copy for permissions.
Our system files reside in /sgroup/asd/ so he will need access there (MFA) as well as be added to some groups (asdweb, asdweba,…).
He will also need to log into our pansophydb server to run scripts for converting Travelers.
This will require him having access to SUDU to become our “adapps” user on that machine.
In that regard he will also need to have permission to use our databases (David Sheppard contact).
We will need to get CS6 dreamweaver installed on his machine (SRFSAMUELS) to work (Bobby Lawrence contact)
As well as SQLDeveloper installed and setup (David Sheppard).
I’m not sure what we can install ourselves and what others may need to install. That would require us having admin rights on the machine. Please let me know what I need to do please.

It has been 5 years since we have added a new person so I am a little foggy on all the details but I think the above is the most important to get him started.

Hi Val,

I understand from Erik Werlau that Allen will be using a home system to remote into a JLab desktop. Is that correct?

Please reply-all to let us know what group memberships Allen will need. If you have a current staff member we can mirror, that would be helpful. This will help us determine whether or not Allen will need a Smartcard. If he does, then we will need to ship that to him.

Is there anything else IT related that you need assistance with for Allen?
