Yes, Calvin has been sending emails to the SOTRs when parts arrive without sufficient processing information.  However, with parts arriving from three different projects, some things will get missed (our bad).

I'm asking that we are provided as much information about parts and shipments as early as possible.  The problem we are running into is the delay it is causing when Calvin has to ask for information about many of the parts that show up at the gate.  Depending on the responsiveness of the SOTR, creating and signing INV travelers, etc., parts have waited over a week in some cases before being checked in.

Hi Mike,

I was referring to the emails that Calvin generally sends with the photos of the parts that have arrived; we reply with the required information after that. We would need to do this for parts coming from the machine shop, as they won't have any PO number. Does the machine shop request number suffice in these cases?

SOTRs will always get an automated email notification from PRIMeS whenever their parts are checked in.  However, as you can see in the original email below, the Status is listed as "NO INSPECTION REQUIRED", because no information was provided for these parts.  Likewise there is no INV traveler in place, so the automated process of instantiating the INV travelers for these parts did not run and we have nowhere to attach the documentation.

Hi Mike,



We normally get an email when parts arrive and Matt replies with the abbrev (please correct me if I'm wrong). This time, we only got the notice that they were entered into the system. They will need an abbrev in order to be attached to the travelers; what's the best way to get that done? They can be removed and resubmitted if required, correct?



Not all the incoming parts are going to have PO numbers attached, but I'll get a list together with future parts
