Hi Mike,

I can answer some of your questions here, but I can better explain some of the others at the meeting later today

  * All FPCCs and all FPCWs will have their own INV travelers. I'll add you and Calvin to the sharepoint/FTP site where the certs are located. I'll provide the certs for this first lot of 8.
  * Each set of cert documents will cover 2 colds and 2 warms
  * We won't be dealing with the FPCs as pairs. This will mean that the same cert document will be uploaded into 4 INV travelers
  * The PAIRSN is only a tool to help with coding (I need Valerie's input for this); nothing in the inventory system should refer to it and no data will be attached to it. It will just be used to specify what serial numbers show up in the dropdown of the traveler. I'm fine with changing this to FPCCPRSN

The INV Travelers will be the following:

L2HE-INV-FPCW (warm)
L2HE-INV-FPCC (cold)

Thanks,
Naeem

Hi Naeem,

I have a few questions for the INV travelers, mainly concerning Certs & Docs.

A brief history: For the L2PRD project, we checked in all of the FPC parts, warm & cold, with no RECV/INV traveler. This got the serial numbers into the system and made them available for dropdowns. Then we checked in the FPC(pair/set) into the RECV-FPC traveler and selected the serial numbers for the warm & cold parts for this set and attached all of the docs to this traveler.

Will the documents for the warm parts be individualized? Should we expect 1 SN per traveler and attach SN specific docs?

Basically the same for the cold parts or will the documents be based on the pair?

In general, I feel that PAIRSN is rather non-specific, and doesn't reflect what the item is. I would suggest something like FPCCPSN (FPC Cold Pair), or FPCCPRSN (FPC Cold PaiR).

The traveler nomenclature is usually based on the first serial number field in the traveler. Below are suggestions for the INV travelers w/ SNs.

L2HE-INV-FPCW

FPCWSN

L2HE-INV-FPCCP/R

FPCCP/RSN

FPCC1SN

FPCC2SN

Hi Mike,

We will receive the first of the HE FPCs on Monday. The following are the serial numbers that will be recorded:

Cold:

FPCCSN (CPI-FPCC-HE-XXX) - Two of these serial numbers will be on the outer bag

PAIRSN (PA#XX) - The pair number will be on the outer bag

Warm:

FPCWSN (CPI-FPCW-HE-XXX)- Label is on the outside of each bag (two per box)

The two attached photos show the locations of the labels. The pair number on the warms (PA#XX) does not need to be recorded. The PAIRSN only need to loaded into PRIMeS so that it can be a dropdown in the traveler and used to identify a set of FPCCSN. I'll set up a meeting with Valerie next week to go over those details. We will receive two warms and two colds on Monday. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thanks,

Naeem
