Hi Larry,

Yes, we can use another acronym for the Cernox sensors. Would you rather have CXSN or CERNOXSN? Either field names will work.

If the parts have been ordered already, please provide P.O. & part info.

Thanks,

Larry,
I will have Mike Dickey respond to the SN field.
As for the other questions,

- Pansophy Team writes the INV travelers, that's why the Pansophy ribbon doesn't appear there.

- Procedures are only word documents that are converted to PDFs then uploaded to DocuShare, they don't go into Pansophy, therefore, the template does not have the Pansophy ribbon

- For TravelerTemplate2 vs TravelerTemplate, TravelerTemplate2 was just created last week. It is the same as TravelerTemplate but has the SN dropdowns updated. Use TravelerTemplate2 and we will reorganize them so that only one appears in the Shared Templates folder
Let us know if you have any more questions
Megan

Subject: [Pansophy] Cernox SN name change and a few questions

Hello Team,
A few questions, whenever someone has time to look into them, please.

Would it be possible to a create new serial number field to capture the Cernox temperature sensors for HE? I see something called DCXCUSN in the PPU traveler, SNSPPU-INV-DCXCU, but the Cernox sensors are not actually (D)diodes. There is a legacy reason to leave "D" in for PPU, since SNS left their signal names the same when they switched from diodes to Cernox sensors. For us, having the name start with a D is confusing, and I'd rather not carry that legacy forward to HE and beyond.
Could we use CXSN for the HE Cernox sensors?

When I open a new "INV Traveler Template" or "Procedure Template," the Pansophy drop-down doesn't appear in the menu ribbon. Could it be added, to make adding SN's to INV travelers easier?

Is "TravelerTemplate2" preferred over "TravelerTemplate?" Is there a reason that both are available in the SHARED folder?

Thanks,
Larry
