Hi Katherine,

It’s not really a rule, we just enter the part information the first time we get the part. That way we can just reference it for all future deliveries.

Please note that most parts do not have the project as part of the name, this mainly happens with top level drawings. Lower level drawings would most likely say “Blank Flange”, at least in JLAB drawings.

Interesting. I didn’t realize that was the rule.

I’m not sure how I feel about that. If we were re-using an SNS drawing for a flange blank, for example, we would have an HE traveler titled “SNS flange blank.” Hmmm.

All,

The part description/name comes from the last/bottom line of the drawing title block. The most recent drawing rev for this part is N. If there is a more recent rev for tis drawing, with a name change, please forward a copy and I will make the changes in the PRIMeS database.

This is a minor point, but the part description should be "LCLS-II HE," not "LCLS-II." If you're ever doing a revision for something else, maybe we can edit that.

Thanks,
Katherine
