All,

My understanding of the issue is that using parts from one project for another will lose traceability because parts purchased under a unique project code will not cross-populate drop drowns in the pansophy traveler system. This has been an issue in the past and will continue, especially given EIC having each different projects for each Cavity/CM and using some common(shared) parts.

Considering the C100R and the ER5C PEP traceability portion has not been finalized, I suggest ending our PEP traceability commitment at inspection. Expect that new and other projects will require traceability and this issue will persist.

I don't have a better answer,

Phil

Hi Mike,

Please make them all go to C100R project. The C100R inspection traveler will keep the inspection information for them. You are correct, ER5C does not record SN of these feedthroughs when installing.

Thanks,

Liang

Hi Liang,

I noticed that this Purchase order has split charge code, C7504A and C1008A. Should 18 of these 8-pin feedthrus go to ER5C and the other 6 go to C100R. It makes a difference on which travelers (CMA-INSP, VTA-CSHK, ASSY) the serial numbers will show up on.

However, I just noticed that there are NO FT08Ps in the ER5C project, but I do see 14 references to FT08PSN in the C100R project.

Please advise.
