Process Owners, CAPA assignees, and others involved with the SRF QMS (please forward as necessary),

I want to inform you about our upcoming external annual surveillance audit, currently scheduled for March 12 and 13. This will be a two-day audit with a new auditor. This audit is important because it verifies our Quality Management System (QMS) remains compliant with the ISO Standard in order to maintain our certification.

In preparation, Alex and Aimee from CPO will be conducting an audit of our QMS on January 30 and 31. They will be performing document reviews as well as floor inspections and interviews. This should be treated as a dress rehearsal for the external audit and any findings will be compiled into an audit report and CAPAs may be issued for non-conformances.

To ensure a smooth and successful audit process, I urge you to review all QMS documents and registers pertaining to your process. Please take this opportunity to verify that everything is in order, up to date, on the correct template, and address any discrepancies or gaps you find. Continue progressing on CAPA reports (strive to meet target deadlines), close unnecessarily open Travelers, and disposition NCRs as necessary.

In addition to these audits, I also want to remind Process Owners of the Management Review meeting on January 23, a separate email will be sent about this meeting.

Your cooperation and attention to detail are greatly appreciated, as they are essential for maintaining our certification and upholding our commitment to quality. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or require further clarification.

Thank you for your cooperation and diligence in this matter.

Warm regards,

Ashley Mitchell (She/Her/Hers)
