Yes, inventory travelers should be added to the WCD Register. We are removing the <PROJ>-NCR and <PROJ>-D3 travelers from the WCD Register list; the WCD Register procedure and template are being routed for approval now).

Hi Tiffany,

Are Inventory travelers meant to be included in the WCD?

Thanks,
Naeem

Yes, you can change "cavity" and "component" to be specific to your project.

After the initial issue of the WCD Register, only the major revision would require signature approval by all Group Lead. So if your project adds a procedure / traveler that only impacts one Work Center, then I would consider that a minor change (which does not require the signature of all Group Leads). Example1: a new traveler is written for EBW but has a CMM inspection step, I consider this to impact two work centers and would be considered a major change. Example2: a new procedure is written to provide detailed instructions for EBW work and no other work centers have work performed in accordance with that procedure, this would be considered a minor change.

Also note that the WCD Register does not need to be revised as procedures/travelers are issued or revised. If your WCD register has the anticipated document ID, name, authors, etc filled in on the register for the new traveler/procedure and that WCD Register revision is approved, no changes to the WCD Register are required when the traveler/procedure is approved or revised.

Hi Tiffany,

The procedure states that section headings, "may be changed, deleted, or added as needed to organize the WCDs for the Project's scope". Does this refer to the headings shown in the screenshot below? A project like AUP doesn't have any cavity strings or cryomodules.

Does the document have to go out for signatures every time new travelers/procedures are written and added to the list?

Thanks,

Naeem

Hi Naeem - I have a draft template WCD Register and associated procedure, similar to what you did for the Vendor process and the SOW. These aren't issued yet, but I hope to have them issued in the upcoming weeks. If you are going to change / update your project's WCD Register, please use the draft template and procedure. Let me know if you have any questions or problems with either document, and I can incorporate the changes prior to issuing them officially.

Naeem,

Yes that is the AUPPS WCD. As for templates, please refer to Tiffany Ganey. She's the Project Execution Process Owner and will have the latest template for you.

Hello,

Is this the WCD document that needs to be updated for AUPPS, or is there a newer template stored somewhere else?

Thanks,

Naeem
