Adam,
Here is the word version of the traveler which I believe captures all of the calculations and specialized coding (this is all of the fields labeled <<NOTE>>) we have added to the traveler. Please take a look and let me know if its all there. If all looks well, you can update the traceler ID, reviewers, NCR emails and D3 emails for EIC591SC and if you believe it is ready for processing into Pansophy, you can add it to DocuShare area for EIC591SC and for ready for approvals

Megan,

I'm working on a version of the EBW traveler for the EIC591SC project. We've made some alterations over the past few years from my original submission (ex. below) - is there a way I can note that in the new traveler so that the changes get implemented in the new traveler as well? Or is there a .docx version of the traveler in its current form?

Megan,

Sorry, I mistook "you can use it again" for "I'm all done". Attachments look to be linked up properly again, no other issues to report at this time.

Thank you,

Megan,

It appears that the numbering updated, but it did not include the earlier entries (current records go from #395-518). Additionally, in the process it seems that all the associated saved files (pictures, CNC programs) have been lost - I'm guessing either the references didn't update or the resources didn't move?

Megan,

If you have the time today, the rest of the day is slow for us. I can hold off on any data entry until after you're done.

Just following up! I will be able to put in all of your previous data in so its sequential to what you have now. Is there a time when you’re not working on the traveler where I can change the sequence numbers around to allow me to do this? Should take me 30 minutes top and then you can resume use of it

Adam,

I have added the functionality of the dropdown containing Assembly SN and Weld ID. I apologize for the delay, I kept running into errors and finally have it fixed. I am currently working on making it so all the open travelers are updated to include that.

I will take a look at the spreadsheet and see what I can do about putting them before the currently open travelers and will let you know if that’s doable.

Megan,

Just following up on this. If it makes it any easier on the menu change, we have no use for the Open/Close status to be listed.

I have also attached our spreadsheet where we formerly stored this information, for integration into the traveler. I went through and edited it such that all the values should be valid input for their variable types. In an ideal world, the traveler index would start with the entries from this spreadsheet and then move on to the entries we have put directly into the traveler, to preserve chronological order but it's not a huge deal if that makes things difficult.

Thank you!

Megan,

Everything seems to be working great so far. Is it possible to add additional information into the traveler selection drop-down menu? We at times make multiple welds on the same assembly, and currently you cannot tell what is what from the drop down alone.

Current Format: SequenceNumber + " " + AssemblySN + " " + Status
Requested Format: SequenceNumber + " " + AssemblySN + "(" + WeldID + ") " + Status

It's not the end of the world if it's not possible, just a convenience thing. I expect that'll be the last revision, until I have some other grand idea anyway.

Megan,

It is still calculating with decimals, and whenever I try to save after using the calculate button, it errors out (saves fine if I delete the data in the RelativeBF). I'm guessing it's a variable error somewhere?

That was my bad! You mentioned it in the note and I just got excited the calculation worked the first time, I complete forgot to round! It is fixed now!

Megan,

Looks great! The only thing I noticed (and I'm pretty sure I forgot to mention this in the traveler so it's 100% on me) is that the calculated RelativeBF value should be rounded to the nearest integer. We will start using this next week and I will let you know if there are any issues. Once we have any kinks worked out I will give you our spreadsheet and hopefully we can easily integrate our current legacy data into pansophy and all will be well in the world!

All,

SRFRD-EBW-COMP has been uploaded to Pansophy

Added calculations:

• If M1AlloySN or M2AlloySN doesn’t have the material needed, fields M1OtherMaterial or M2OtherMaterial will push to the database if the material isn’t already there. M1AlloySN and M2AlloySN act as an SN field and is populated from the database with the same values

• M1Thickness will be converted to millimeters if inch is selected in M1ThkUnit and the user clicks “Convert to mm” using formula: inches * 25.4

• RelativeBF is calculated with formula: BF-(427.45(GTW^-0.129))

Please let me know if you have any issues or if these calculations cause any error!
