[Pansophy] Pansophy Request Confirmation:

Hi,
After speaking with Danny about these NCRs this morning, I would agree they should be dispositioned as "hold/modify" or "hold/re-measure". If they inner adapter is going to sit around for years before being used, a "reject" final disposition may be the best option to quarantine it until ready for use. Then, when it is needed, it could be modified to conforming or use as is and the NCR could be re-opened with the reason documented in the final disposition comment box. This is what we did for HE cavities that were saved as potential spares.
>From what I understand, this inspection was above and beyond what was requested/needed for the initial serialization, so the traveler may need to be revised to make it clearer when a full inspection is needed (with NCRs written for non-conforming findings) versus a quick or simple inspection (maybe with NCRs only on certain details like bad welds or a missing flange). It sounded like maybe only a final inspection should check all dimensions and the initial one may only need certain parts of the traveler filled out. This would help with the numerous NCRs coming from inspections. Adding details or instructions to the traveler may help.
Please let me know if I can help facilitate a meeting to revise the inspection traveler or to discuss how to handle these NCRs, I'm here to help.
Thanks,
- Ashley

I'm a bit hesitant/against completing this service request because the reasoning doesn't seem substantial enough. There is no where in the inspection traveler that states that NCRs are only to be opened on the final inspection. It is my opinion that these should be dispositioned as "hold/modify" or "hold/re-measure". I have also consulted with and CC'd Ashley on this. Please let us know if you feel there is a valid reason for removing these NCRs
Megan
