SUBJECT: Organizational Announcement





I am pleased to announce that Tug Arkan has accepted the position of Cryomodule Systems Manager, effective Monday, March 3rd. The successful completion of the Cryomodule Systems scope of work is pivotal to the success of the LCLS-II-HE Project. Tug’s extensive experience, particularly his previous role as Fermilab’s Senior Team Lead, makes him exceptionally well-suited to guide this critical aspect of the project. He is already well-versed in the project’s mission, challenges, and objectives, positioning him to lead the Cryomodule Systems scope through to completion.



As part of this transition, Tug will be dedicating his full attention to overseeing the production and installation of the 23 cryomodules necessary to meet key performance parameters (KPPs). To ensure a smooth shift in responsibilities, his current duties as Chief Engineer will be reassigned to our Technical Director, Scott DeBarger, and our Project Manager, Jarrod Fitzpatrick.



Please join me in thanking Tug for his valuable contributions as Chief Engineer and in welcoming him to his new role.



With these staffing changes, a new organizational chart has been issued. Please see the attached document and feel free to reach out to me with any questions regarding the updated reporting structure.
