Daily RC Report

Polarimeter calibration continues...

Data Taking

The data points at 4.2 MeV/c and 6.3 MeV/c have been measured. The
status of the actual analyzing power data as compared to simulation is
summarized in the PEPPo log entry

http://opsweb.acc.jlab.org/CSUEApps/elog/entry/1789768

The data support the presence of a charge asymmetry at PEPPo current
even if zeroed at higher currents with the PITA procedure.

This latter was measured in the morning using a small scintillator
detector and found to be in accordance with the response of polarimeter.

Combining magnet polarities and half-wave plate data will remove this
dependence.

The origin of the non-linearities previously mentionned have been
traced-back to the saturation of the FADC range from the pile-up of
signals.

Hardware

We still have issues with the beam spot stability at T2. The dipole
power supply is slowly drifting and should be corrected regularly
manually till monday, when experts will investigate the problem.
