[PEPPo] Daily RC Report 5/27

  *Daily RC Report 5/27:*
Everyone on the commissioning program is making good progress.  On last 
SWING good step forward finding launch orbit to production target 
required for effective collection and defining quadrupole settings to 
transport beam to targets.  Likewise, first annihilation coincidence 
events w/ test e- beam.  On last OWL excellent progress defining 
operational parameters for the Compton detectors, measuring physics 
asymmetry as a function of the Compton target polarization.  On last DAY 
production of very thorough look-up table to generate and setup beam 
momenta from 3-8 MeV/c.  Heading into this SWING setup of T=5MeV beam 
with optics for nice round spot completed.  Tests for reproducing orbits 
on T1 at various momenta was held up for ~couple hours due to a video 
switcher hardware failure, now corrected.  We're back on commissioning 
program...

*Noteworthy items:*

    * After passing the 7.2MeV threshold RadCon performed survey of
      Injector w/o problems.  We continue to operate with rapid access
      system.
    * Use BURT to save setups/load setups
          o know what you're downloading (global injector downloads are
            unnecessary)
          o state destination and beam momentum
    * Communicate in P[MeV/c], E[MeV], T[MeV]
    * We wills start making accesses more often - access checklists must
      be performed
    * Please start refining your procedures/links at the wiki How To

*Next 24 hours:*

SUMMARY Sunday, 5/27 - Owl Run Plan: SL=Suleiman

    * Completed CD3 - Determine rate and LV for integrated method
    * Completed CD5 - Study analyzing magnet magnetization vs. magnet
      current
    * Completed CD6 - Study asymmetry vs. PITA at AM=+/-60A

SUMMARY Sunday, 5/27 - Day Run Plan: SL=Poelker

    * Completed - Setup/save cryounit settings (gradients/phase) crested
      to beam on 2D spectrometer
    * Completed - Define Mott energy setup (T=5.000MeV, E=5.511MeV,
      5.487MeV/c)
    * RadCon assessment @ 1530

Planned Sunday, 5/27 - Swing Run Plan: SL=Freyberger

    * Setup
          o Use Matt's setting for ~near P=5.487MeV/c
          o Measure P, Setup to T1 (quads + center on S1)
    * Measurements
          o NEED ACCESS TO INSTALL TS1
          o CB17 - Production current/targets (vacuum, radiation,
            conditions)
          o CD8 - Compton trigger assessment

Planned Monday, 5/28 - Owl Run Plan: SHIFT LEADER = Suleiman

    * Program
          o TS1 is required!
          o Complete CD8 (Compton trigger assessment - background in
            Compton) w/ e+ mode
          o CD1 PQB setup
          o CD2 Mott

Planned Monday, 5/28 - Day Run Plan: SHIFT LEADER = Poelker

    * CB16: Characterize PEPPo w/ 3 different momenta:
          o a) Setup centered on T1
          o b) Vary spectrometer: map out position on collimators and
            downstream viewers
          o c) Set spectrometer to best central value
          o d) Vary region 1 correctors H/V to map out beam acceptance
            to last viewer/FC
          o Would like to have dE and E running to also measure beam
            energy of electrons
