[PEPPo] Busy week : positron workshop & JLAAC

Dear Ce+BAF Colleagues,

I want to thank Dennis, Andriy and Sami, and those who helped them prepare, for their nice and informative presentations made at the both the UVa positron workshop and JLAAC meetings this week.   Each meeting generated useful feedback and recommendations.  We will discuss them at future working group meetings.

At the JLAAC close out today we received a total of 6 recommendations from the advisory committee, all more or less aimed at moving toward a realistic evaluation for managing the high power beam and target of the injector.  We'll review these once the report is made available.

Overall, I'm very pleased, and the positive feedback continues to support developments aimed at making this realizable!

In two weeks Yoshinori and Yu Morikawa from KEK will visit us for two days Mar 23-24.   We have already a rather full agenda planned discussing targets, improving unpolarized collection scheme, and kicking off discussions related to the magnet and capture sections.

We will resume our working group meeting next Wednesday, Mar. 15.
