Dear Ce+BAF Colleagues,

Following up from last week's meeting, the Ozaki program supports exchange of students between the U.S. and Japan in areas of accelerator and particle physics. JLab is one of the participating DOE labs. For more information contact Joe Grames (grames at jlab.org).

The program is receiving applications now, with a deadline of Dec 19th.

Ozaki Exchange Program, funded jointly by the U.S. and Japan, was established in 2018 to strengthen U.S.- Japan scientific collaboration and to facilitate greater cooperation in the areas of accelerator and particle physics by supporting the exchange of graduate students between Japan and the United States. All graduate students enrolled, or undergraduate students already accepted for enrollment, in accredited Japanese or U.S. physics Ph.D. programs are eligible to apply. The Japanese students are hosted in the DOE national labs, and the U.S. students are hosted at KEK institutions, including J-PARC, or HEP labs at specific universities in Japan. The 2026 program is open for application from Oct 24 to Dec 19, 2025.
