Minutes

The planning of the Tour at LEEPP Workshop on Wednesday, November 5, has been discussed.

  *
Andriy is going to present a poster on simulations of positron injector for Ce+BAF (at LERF).
  *
Salim - poster on transport of 12 GeV positron beams at Ce+BAF (at LERF).
  *
Silviu will give an update on JLab solid positron target in the workshop talk. Visit of the Laser Lab is not planned.
  *
Max - poster on LDRD for a high-current polarized-beam photogun (LERF).
  *
Amy - poster on the electron beam degrader experiment (LERF).
  *
Shaoheng presents the concept of using SRF CW cavities with solenoids for e+ injector (poster at SRF area of Test Lab).

 Jay has reminded that all "events scheduled after Oct 23 will need to be reevaluated by the Laboratory Director".

Joe led a discussion about DOE funding opportunities (NOFO).

Most of us are interested in Section 6(h) of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (Accelerator Research and Development for NP Facilities).
The National Labs cannot apply directly, but the Labs can be subrecipients.
If you would like to apply, a short summary (3 pages) should be sent by next Tuesday.
You have to talk with your department head and Joe should be included in that conversations.
The expression of interest should be submitted first. We only submit proposals when we receive an invitation.

Drafts of the workshop talks will be presented at Ce+BAF meeting next week.
