Chao,

We would not be able to test the entire calorimeter as a whole outside of Hall B. We could test small groups one at a time.

Yes, it'll be great to discuss the preparations and plans for the HyCal test in this week's meeting and probably schedule a dedicated meeting later.
With Jingyi's help, we can set up a cosmic test with HyCal later this Summer/Autumn and then take the cosmic data for a few months.
We'll know the current status of HyCal (which modules need to be fixed) and test the new DAQ system with flash ADCs. This benefits all the approved experiments.

Best Regards,
Chao

Ashot,

I am not going to do anything with the calorimeter. I just started looking for a place where we could work on it. At the location where it is sitting now, we cannot do any work on it
What I am pushing for is a meeting about preparations for all the experiments. There are many other things to be done besides the HyCal repair/testing. We need to get going on this.

  Hi Eugene,

As you know, Hycal is not a standard colorimeter, it is designed and build
up by several visiting groups under my direct supervision. So, it is a
 user colorimeter belonging to University.
As I stated several times in our recent meetings, I am planning to visit
JLab to discuss the HyCal work and other PRad related other experimental
 issues with Patrick.

So, before my meeting with Patrick PLEASE DO NOT move or open the HyCal
 colorimeter.
