[PRad] [EXTERNAL] PRad2-DRad Weekly Meeting Sep. 30th at 11:00AM EDT (New Meeting Link!)

Dear All,

Below please find the minutes for today's meeting:

*GEM Conceptual Design:*
Eugene will schedule a meeting between Nilanga and Bob next Monday for the
GEM conceptual design
GEM Conceptual design:
A box of helium-4 with two GEMs attached to the front/back surfaces,
respectively
GEM with helium as the working gas (it's still a preliminary idea)

*HyCal Electronics:*
HyCal needs about 7 crates of Flash ADCs. We might borrow these from CLAS
but finding other resources is encouraged.
Calibration needs  the revival of Hall B photon tagger (taking out focal
plane detectors, finding old high voltage power supplies)
It is encouraged to avoid the use of the photon tagger:
Rough gain matching with cosmic rays and with adjusting scaling-constant in
FADCs.

*GEM Electronics:*
SRS is not supported by CERN anymore.
Around 200 APV chips left, need to spend 20k-30k to make them into cards.
Might borrow some APV cards from SBS if not enough.

*Review Meeting:*
Prepare to answer the question: can the three experiments be scheduled
back-to-back?
Clear setup and plan required for the meeting: number of crystals, number
of readout channels, using photon tagger or not, etc...
Open discussions about these requirements in the next PRad2-DRad Weekly
Meeting

*Other:*
Weizhi will give a talk at Chinese LQCD and promote the LQCD calculation
regarding EM form factors (and charge/magnetic radii).
