HI, all,
The outer edge of Compton distributions on CCAL should be defined by the exist window of FCAL pipe. I agree with Justin that it seems some misalignment between FCAL and CCAL.

Hi All,
Please see my comment to Drew’s log entry https://logbooks.jlab.org/comment/20469#comment-20469<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flogbooks.jlab.org%2Fcomment%2F20469%23comment-20469&data=02%7C01%7Cprimexd%40jlab.org%7C0c5c4811147746a608b708d69dba9c39%7Cb4d7ee1f4fb34f0690372b5b522042ab%7C1%7C0%7C636869822152138936&sdata=%2F1hG9SISQpX%2BVkz%2BNVKV13OEG%2F%2BrGBw0E34aV4dHX7w%3D&reserved=0>, crudely comparing Liping’s simulated distribution to the monitoring plots from data. Unless I’m missing something (which is certainly possible), this looks more like a shift in the acceptance region than an unexpected hole. Please correct me if there’s some reason I should be comparing these two distributions directly.
Following up on my earlier suggestion, this would be much easier to compare if we had some simulated event samples that could be run through the same reconstruction path as the data…

Hi Liping,
Thanks for the plots. Just to be clear, are these simulated distributions with the CompCal in it’s current (as-built) position and all upstream material included?
Also, do we have this compton event generator in the Hall D simulation framework where we can simulate these events compton events and run them through our full simulation: hdgeant(4), mcsmear, reconstruction, etc.? It would be really useful to have some MC samples to compare with the compton data samples being collected now.

One of the possible options is exactly what we had in Primex-1 in 2004
with the missing HyCal square: Low energy hits occupancy looks uniform,
while high energy ones show missing column, as it would be no info going
to the trigger sum. But my assumption can be wrong: still investigating.

Looks not bad!, so what was wrong in Drew's plots?
