[Rgc] Planning for the Switchover FTon -> FTout

Dear all,

I am trying to assemble a list of things we would like to do (or must or should do) when we have our weeklong configuration change to FTOut/ELMO. As you may already have heard, most likely this changeover will be delayed by 14 days, to August 25, 2022, to make up for the 2 weeks of beam time we lost due to no/bad beam and target/Moller/raster etc. troubles.

I have started such a list below - please comment and send any items you can think of. I will try to join the weekly engineering meeting this Thursday (Eugene, please send me the Zoom coordinates) so we can discuss some of these items. We do have a little time, but it would be better if we could come up with a realistic plan ahead of time to give enough heads-up to the Hall B technicians, engineers and Denny.

I also want to take this opportunity to reiterate that I will be away the next 2 weeks, with intermittend internet access. I’m sure the next 3 RCs will have everything under control - Sylvia, Bryan and Stephen. Let me know if you need anything, and check the page https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/RG-C_RC_and_Target_Expert_Volunteers .

Thanks, and greetings - Sebastian
