Welcome to RC summary Oct 18:

Yesterday, we finished the acid flushing of the LCW pipes for torus and solenoid around noon. We ramped back magnets and checked beam on tagger. We did Moller run with 1/2 plate IN. Result was 84.4 +/- 1.5% (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4061436).

In the meantime, target was polarized to up to -74% (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4061466). Chris also increased the microwave power (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4061332)

During swing shift, we took production data until a controlled ramp down of the solenoid (9:30pm). The ramp down was stopped and Probir investigated. No issue was found so it was ramped back up. Unfortunately, we lost target polarization and it took about 20min to be back at better than -60% after the solenoid was on full field.

At 4am, the ARC9 magnet power supply of accelerator tripped and it will take till swing shift to fix it. Around 5am, our solenoid ramped down again and we lost target polarization. The magnet experts are currently looking into it. Currently, they believe it is a too sensitive interlock setting on a signal which is different with reverse polarity. More details to follow.

So far we collected around 100M events with 1/2 IN.

We will see when we come back today. Maybe we switch 1/2 plate later to take data over tonight.
Tomorrow will be a DOE tour through the NL and also accelerator maintenance work. We are down from the morning till sometime in the afternoon.
Please let me know if there is any work to do besides target and magnet beacons.

We will have RC meeting at 2pm at https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1608674253?pwd=SFZyYmZLWXJieGtpV2dEdVRiUEJnUT09&from=addon
Best,
Florian
