Day Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4122339):

Established production running on ND3, including raster settings. Nominal conditions of 4nA on a new DAQ configuration file (_v1.4_no_DC)

Swing Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4122726):

Continued data taking, some minor issues with beam position when halls A or C down, and a particularly trippy BMT channel.

Owl Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4123089):

Overnight production running, DAQ crash due to RICH4. RICH recovery procedure successful.

Short Term Plan: Half wave plate has been changed, no issues on our end, but despite a coordinated plan with Hall A, the timing of the change still caused a slight inconvenience to them, probably due to crossed wires (just a figure of speech) with MCC although I'm assured this was only a minor issue for them. Production run!
ning through day shift until the 2pm meeting, at which time we'll make the call as to what to do with the target over the weekend. It may be possible to continue with the current ND3 cell longer than originally anticipated then either anneal at some point over the weekend or switch to solid targets (target group availability allowing. Either way, big thanks to them in advance as at looks like least one of them will be giving up parts of the weekend whatever we do). MCC are considering an RF recovery day on Tuesday, opening up possibilities for hall access, target changes, and more involved detector maintenance, Please reach out to the RC, etc. if you have any hall access needs while beam is unavailable, or in general.

We will have an RC meeting today at 2pm

https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1608674253?pwd=SFZyYmZLWXJieGtpV2dEdVRiUEJnUT09&from=addon

RC Meetting Coordinates:

Meeting ID: 160 867 4253 Passcode: 78650!

room of the counting house, where, if there's any left, today's biscuit will be...

Biscuit (US: Cookie) of the day: Shortbread

Shortbread is a traditional Scottish biscuit, widely associated with Christmas and Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) celebrations. The name "shortbread" comes from its crumbly texture, an old meaning of the word "short", as opposed to "long" or stretchy. The cause of this texture is its high fat content, provided by butter, one of the main ingredients. The "short" texture is a result of the fat inhibiting the formation of long protein (gluten) strands.
