I see a clear correlation between beam current and vertical position on 2H01. When beam current goes up position goes down and vice versa. Among other possibilities, it may be an indication of the beam energy instabilities.
I made a log entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4124290

Stuart, pass this along to the crew chief and PD.

Day Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4123371):

Half wave plate has been changed and continuing production running on ND3 @4nA, some minor DAQ maintenance between runs

Swing Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4123637):

Continued data taking, RICH4 crash, and a subsequent DAQ crash after restore. Experts called and everything restored

Owl Shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4123903):

Overnight production running, sudden drop in polarisation around 2.30am (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4123964), this recovered, then dropped again. Subsequent investigation by target experts tracked the problem down to drops in the helium bath level (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4124207). Polarisation recovered to ~38%

Short Term Plan: Continuing production running on ND3 on Saturday, and at time of writing, arranging for target change to solid targets on Sunday. This will minimise hall access over the weekend, and maybe allow the RC to watch the rugby(!)

We will not have an RC meeting today, but feel free to drop in on the counting room zoom session to check in if there's anything to discuss or just to say hello; https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1619881100 (passcode 927417). The shift crew will be here, and the RC will pop in and out, occaisionally enjoying today's biscuit, which is...

Biscuit of the day: Penguin

Penguins are brand name of a chocolate covered biscuit bar consisting of two layers of biscuit, filled with chocolate cream. First produced in 1932 by Macdonald Biscuits in Glasgow, Scotland, Penguins are based on a chocolate covered sandwich biscuit seen by the company's founder in Antwerp. Now manufactured by McVitie's, each wrapper has a joke printed on it (example: "why are penguins shops so busy? Because the fish fillet") and features penguins depicted in humourous situations or pastiches of famous works of art. Side note: a similar biscuit, the Tim Tam, is based on the Penguin and is popular in Australia.
