> Recognizing the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and considering the ongoing international travel by our staff and the number of meetings and conferences attracting visitors to Jefferson Lab we are taking the following measures in addition to those previously announced:

> Non-essential international travel planned for March and April is cancelled. If you believe international travel during this period is essential, please engage with your AD to secure approval. Essential travel is travel that can only be accomplished in person and cannot be delayed without causing serious harm to the Jefferson Lab mission.  
> The duration of these restrictions is somewhat arbitrary based on the limited history of COVID-19, may be reduced or extended as the outbreak unfolds, and is subject to change based on Department of State, CDC, or DOE guidance or direction.

> There are no restrictions on domestic travel at this time. However, staff members and their supervisors must evaluate the risk of domestic travel to areas where coronavirus is prevalent. This is not simply a personal decision and must consider the risk to other Jefferson Lab employees, our community, and family members upon return. Site access will be denied with positive indications. Staff issuing invitations to meetings or conferences should ensure that potential participants are informed of these restrictions prior to making travel plans.
