Hello all,
Here is a brief update on the status of Hall A.
The target cooldown was successful this morning so unless I notify you otherwise, we will require all TO shifts going forward.
The shift leaders for swing shift today (Thursday), Friday owl, and Friday day should still be on standby, as the status of our run certificate is still uncertain as of this writing, pending final reviews of the BigBite magnet bracing solution(s).
I am told that work in the Hall today is proceeding as planned, and we will hear an update from Jessie at the RC meeting at 3:15.
Preparations for the installation of the new U/V GEM layer in BigBite in place of layer J2 are ongoing in parallel with Jack’s magnet testing. The GEM layer swap is estimated to require about 4-5 hours of combined work between Jessie’s team and the GEM experts.
We will review the status of Hall A and the subsystems at our daily meeting at 3:15 PM on BlueJeans (and the 2nd floor CH conference room for those present).
