Hi all,
I just got a call from MCC; they've been working on trying to fix an issue with the fiber connection for the FSD signal between Hall A and the Injector since about 21:00 on Monday evening and haven't been successful. They will resume the effort on Tue Day shift, so there will be no beam on Tue Owl shift. However, they have been able to get emittance data up to the dumplette and will continue to tweak that for us in the meantime. I will keep in touch with MCC on their progress on this fix during the day tomorrow.
I called the counting house and informed the shift crew; the Shift Leader can head out for the evening, while our TO will stay on to keep an eye on the target.
Moving forward on Day Shift: At 07:30 we have a radiation survey scheduled for Controlled Access with Jessie, Jack, and their teams for SBS magnet work on Day shift. We also have gas system work for the GEMs and GRINCH that Jack got started on Monday Day that should be addressed on Tuesday Day.
Best,
David (Hall A RC)
