Hi Brian and Don,
I completely agree with you that what happened was inappropriate and unprofessional. I waited for two days thinking that there is going to be an apology somewhere but perhaps not.
NOW would be a good time to put an end to this kind of toxic work culture before we start a long run where people from multiple sub-systems, universities and cultural backgrounds have to come together and help each other. Many collaborators, contact persons, postdocs and graduate students are already under a lot of pressure for deliverables and DO NOT need to put up with this kind of behavior.
