Not a particularly auspicious start to my first ever week as RC, but what can you do.

Yesterday's DAY shift got only 1 hour of beam before another fault in the PSS system in the BSY stopped activities. This ran on until the middle of SWING, but a problem on the beamline meant that there was no beam all shift. OWL managed to get some beam for half an hour, but they weren't able to complete the beam recovery procedure before the BSY PSS dropped again. That problem is still ongoing, and MCC estimates that it won't be fixed until today's SWING at the very earliest.

Can I please ask ALL shift crews to keep me in the loop with any updates you get from MCC, especially if we have days like the last few. Don't assume that I will have already have been told - in all likelihood, I won't have been. Also, can all Shift Leaders please remember to do a shift summary? Even if it is a quiet shift with no beam, I still need to know what has happened so that I can report to MCC correctly. Cheers all!

The latest NMR (11:03 this morning) has the target polarization at 42.3%.
