Hi Jim,
This sounds fine to me - ok, Mark?

Subject: [Sbs] [EXTERNAL] ECAL detectors
Hi Mark,
I was meeting with Don this morning, and he mentioned that the ECAL detectors from GEp are going to be put in storage and eventually trashed.
I would love to get several of those blocks, with PMTs, for my undergraduate advanced lab course. I’d use them for a muon decay experiment, better than what I have now. We are already replacing the electronics with a CAEN desktop digitizer, big improvement over what we had before, but the detector is still substandard.
I can handle the transport, and the high voltage and other electronics. Also, Bogdan tells me that at least ten blocks available (that have not been exported to radiation.)
Can we make this happen? I am happy to do whatever paperwork and legwork is necessary.
Thanks,
Jim
