[Sbs_gems] [EXTERNAL] Negative Tracking Study

Hi All,
Below I have attached updated plots for the negative tracking study that I
presented last week. Unfortunately I made several large mistakes in my
results from last week.
1) I was missing a simple logical statement in my code and all results I
showed were negative hits on modules where a hit on track *WAS* found
instead of *WAS NOT* found like I wanted.
2) There was an event number offset so the event displays I showed were
completely different from the events that passed all the cuts on tracks I
was making.
3) I was forming only 2D correlations between negative hits, when it is
much more likely for negative hits to only appear on one axis.
With all these issues I recommend that you clear your mind of everything
that I showed last week, and look at the plots I have attached below
without thinking about the previous results. These results have fixed all
those issues, and all plots of interest can be found in my log entry,
https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3986717. Please let me know of any thoughts
or questions.
Andrew: You will see in my results, slides 6 and 10, that we get a good
fraction of event displays that look like they have a 2D positive cluster
on the track, but one axis is recorded as not getting a positive hit. Can
you tell visually why these clusters are removed in the analyzer?
Best,
Sean
