[Sbs_gems] Schedule for preparations for GEn-RP

Dear all,

There was a meeting last  week between Mark, the Hall A techs and engineers and myself last week to integrate the GEM related work and upgrades into the workplan for GEn-RP. I list below the general schedule for your planning.


  1.  BBGEM work would start Dec 6th and end Dec 19th. This is the HV upgrades for the UV layers. The plan is to begin this work as soon as A_LL is completed…
  2.  Transport recoil detector, active analyzer into hall in late Jan. This might happen later because it can’t be installed anyways until we finish with SBS GEMs.
  3.  Remove the SBS GEM stack around Jan 25 for HV upgrades and APV repairs/swaps.
  4.  Work on SBS GEM is 15 days until Feb 15.
  5.  Build the SBS GEM bunker after the SBS and HCAL moved into position. This may allow to put the bunker closer.
  6.  Arbitrarily put Joe B installing  the GEM LV supply on Jan 8th. We will continue to use the electronics/LV in place while we upgrade and troubleshoot.
  7.  Need to determine about putting the recoil arm and active analyzer on the SBS counterwieght.
