People : Myself, Bhashitha, Ben and Holly went down to the Hall.
Issue : SBS GEM ROC SLOT 21 busy due to unstable trigger signal
What we did :
1) An oscilloscope was hooked up to the trigger fan outs at the SBS DAQ Hut next to the SBS platform. Which indicated that we are seeing triggers when we are not supposed to see any.
2) Then we invetigated the main DAQ bunker end where things looked okay, which made us to go back to the SBS DAQ hut end which looked fine now. May be we touched something which made the issue to go away. This is exactly the intermitant behaviour we have been osberving the past.
3) Ben's explanation was that this typ of behaviour cannot be caused by the NIM signals. He suspected that the differential pairs communicating ECL signal could be bad.
4) We used the other ribbon of the same ribbon cable to commincate ECL from TI to V1495 module. After that Ben updated the firmware of intelsbsgem3 to match the changes we did.

What's next :
We will need to monitor the DAQ with SBS configurations (GEnII-3stream or similar) for longer time to verify that everything is stable now.
