[Sbs_gems] GEM update, no meeting tomorrow

Dear all,

Due to the federal holiday tomorrow, we will have no SBS GEM meeting tomorrow.

A few updates:
-Asar, Vimukthi, and Ching Him tested a new GEM module to prepare the next layer
-Lawrence and Zak estimate that they should be able to pick up the SBS GEM stack as early as Friday, but more probably next week. Then we can begin our work on the existing layers in the Hall. The electronics racks have already been relocated, and we need to install the BB electronics when the shielding has been removed from the BB daq bunker.
-Chandan and Lars repaired the gas lines on the SBS side. Chandan prepared and purged the tank and replaced the mass flow controller. I shut off the gas lines to the detectors for now and may keep it this way if we will be moving the GEMs soon.
