[Shms_users] [Fwd: A proposal for Hall C on EMC effect measurements for PAC35]

Hi SHMS Users -

Aji Daniel, John Arrington, and I will be submitting a proposal to PAC 
35 to make further measurements of the EMC Effect in light nuclei (see 
Aji's note below). We'd like to invite anyone interested to join - your 
comments on the proposal would also be very much appreciated!

Dear Colleagues,
We are planning to submit a new  proposal to measure the inclusive EMC
effect from a variety of nuclei to run in Hall C. Thanks for your
support during E03-103; as pointed out by John in an earlier email, the
results from  light nuclei  are now published in PRL. Also, these
results were highlighted in a recent edition of Physical Review Focus
(see  http://focus.aps.org/story/v24/st20 ). The proposed measurement
are not only an extension of the 6 GeV experiment, but also we would
like to test several novel ideas (as outlined in the proposal).

You are all cordially invited to join this proposal as collaborators and
we welcome any comments you might have. Please feel welcome to extend
this invitation to other interested parties as well. If you and/or your
research group are interested in joining, please send me a list of names
and institutions with mailing addresses by Dec 13. We have included the
names of  few colleagues who showed interest in EMC effect
investigations in the past. Please let me know if you want take your
name off the list.
