[Shms_users] Board Vote Results

A total of 27 votes representing 12 institutions were received.  Many
familiar names in the SHMS-HMS community did not return ballots, so these
represented just 16% of the 169 registered users of the shms_users email
list.  Nonetheless, the institutions represented a broad distribution of
the community, and the number of returned ballots met the 15% quorum
requirement specified in the bylaws.

I am pleased to report that Donal Day and Mark Jones have been elected to
the SHMS-HMS User Board, with terms expiring in 2013.

On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank Peter Monghan and Charles
Perdrisat for their service this last year.
