Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update


The PPU project office is preparing the review web site for the upcoming virtual DOE IPR status review to be held Sept. 14-17. This week we received the final review committee list from DOE. In the Superconducting RF area at our partner JLab, work continues with the first cryomodule cold mass assembly. The cryomodule 2 string assembly passed leak tests after a series of concerted efforts and this string was moved into the cold mass assembly area. In the RF area, the first article RF circulator was returned from the primary vendor after re-tuning and is being prepared for high power testing at the SNS site. In the Ring area, bids were received for the chicane and injection dump magnet steel. In the Target area, PPU test target #1 passed its final pressure and leak tests. Shipping to SNS has been arranged.
