Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU update


In the SRF area, 3 more coupler sets are processed and ready for delivery to JLab. Cryomodule production continues to progress at JLab, with 18 cavities now jacketed in helium vessels and qualified for cryomodule production. The first cryomodule is ready for moving to the test cave next week where a cooldown test will be performed prior to shipping to ORNL. In the RF area, procurement is proceeding for a beam stick to test internal components of the new DTL klystrons prior to final assembly. The new RF heat sink loads are being tested prior to installation, and repairs for some minor water leaks are being prepared. In the ring area, our partner FNAL has received final bds for the tooling to fabricate the new magnet cores, which is the last remaining major contract. In the target area planning is progressing for new penetrations in the target building basement to be done in the upcoming outage. Installation activities proceed in the klystron gallery with waveguide, cabinets, and RF load testing.
