Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update

In the PPU superconducting RF area, the 3rd new cryomodule installed in the tunnel began cooldown this week. Also the return end can for cryomodule 7 passed inspection at the vendor and will be shipped to the partner JLab next week. In the RF area, high power testing continues for the equipment needed for the upcoming phase 2 run. In the Ring area the first two (of three) new magnets needed for installation in the long outage were crated at our partner FNAL, in preparation for shipment to SNS next week. In the target area, vendor progress continues on equipment needed for the long outage, e.g. with the lead shielding poured for the molecular sieve bed equipment. Finally the RTBT stub contract award is in ORNL contract compliance office and will go to the DOE site office for approval next week.
