Hi, Zhiwen,
Thanks for the comment. My reply would be following
> Another idea is do 120 segmentation all in fan shape instead of 60 fan
with two section.
Did we exclude that?
My understanding from previous discussion is YES. One important reason is
that 60x2 segmentation have better scintillator pad to shower
correspondence. For example, in 120x1 segments, the inner width of the
module is half of the width of one calorimeter module. Therefore, when one
inner calorimeter was triggered, two segments in in scintillator will be
checked in trigger level, which effectively reduced it to 60 segments.

don't need worry about light propagation and PMT in field.

85cm and outer 240cm So where exact the separation of the two sections
exists is only an rough estimation. I don't think IHEP really needs it now.
Your background simulation only covered R = 100-220 cm, which is consistent
with forward calorimeter size in our write up too. If in final layout you
find the scintillator need to be larger, please update both.
And I agree that this change should NOT matter at this stage as well as for
communication to IHEP.
Cheers
Jin

Another idea is do 120 segmentation all in fan shape instead of 60 fan with
two section.
Did we exclude that?
Either way, I think WLS fiber is a preferred way to readout so that we don't
need worry about light propagation and PMT in field.
For realistic EC layout, I think the SPD inner radius needs to be around
85cm and outer 240cm So where exact the separation of the two sections
exists is only an rough estimation. I don't think IHEP really needs it now.
