[Solid_ec] LHCb preshower tile test December 2013

Dear All:

Since there will be no more EC meeting for the next two weeks, I'd like to provide an update on the Preshower test at UVa.  We received one LHCb preshower tile on December 15th. In the directory below please see a short summary of what we did in the past 3 days. Cole Smith performed all tests:

It looks like we can reproduced the MIP response as reported in the LHCb NIM paper, of about 20 ph.e.. 

Looking at the Preshower-related test we planned to do back in November, it looks like we have already reached most of the test goals with this preshower tile. I'd like to know:

1) If the 20ph.e. MIP peak satisfies our design goal;
2) What next should we test?
